Kapisanan is an award-winning community arts hub, maintaining its vision of supporting young artists of Filipino descent in Toronto since 2003.
Rooted and Rising
R&R facilitates leadership and capacity building for youth stewarding heightened responsibility in our climate change crisis to imagine and activate better ways of living with each other and the earth transformation across generations, cultures, disciplines, and life experiences.
It has been such a pleasure and honour learning from and alongside these brilliant and visionary individuals and organizations.
The collaborative and co-creative aspect of this project has only helped us to affirm that our deepest, most transformative learning always comes from being in relation. Thank you to Voice of Purpose, Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts and Culture, and Rooted and Rising.
Voice of Purpose
VOP focuses on capacity building and systems change in the transformative arts sector. The primary purpose of our industry is to engage in community building and create social impact through the arts.
We believe individuals and organizations that embody their purpose have greater capacity to impact social change. We help guide and ground arts organizations, arts leaders, and artist-educators to align with and embody their purpose with integrity, through providing support with personal and professional development, pathways for healthy transformation, and implementing holistic systems within organizations – for the betterment of the sector as a whole.
The mission of Voice of Purpose is to ignite and equip a movement of arts-leaders, arts organizations, and artist-educators who embody their purpose to deepen their impact in the world.
